A Bisel Dis... A Bisel Dat

Coming At You Live from Treatment Room 25! – April 13, 2015

thumbs-up

Here we are. First day of chemo. So far, they’ve drawn my blood (from the port – how cool is that?!). It did hurt  when the nurse stuck the needle in because I’m still tender from having the port put in, but a little ice took care  of that.

Bloodwork came back good, so now we’re getting started with the pre-meds: Zofran (to prevent nausea),  Benadryl (to prevent an allergic reaction), Dexamethasone (also to prevent allergic reaction), Tylenol
(to prevent fever), Rasburicase (to prevent buildup of uric acid as the cancer cells die their miserable death).

Once those are all on board, we’ll wait a bit to make sure they do their job, then we start the chemo drugs.

Original Comments from the CaringBridge Blog:

Wow. That is a lot of drugs. You are now one stone cold, pharmaceutical BADASS. Tumors don’t stand a  chance against the wonder that is you. You’re doing great. xoxo

You are fabulous to keep us all in the loop because you KNOW we think of you so much. You can’t imagine  how much you remind me of Fomicles. Your spirit is unbeatable, Deb. Attitude is altitude. There, I said it again.
