Today, despite the fact that it’s raining, and my eyelashes are making a distinct exit from my lids (I think I counted 10 that fell out just after my shower), it’s been a good day. I got to see my two favorite local authors (Jen Lancaster and Stacey Ballis) “in conversation” at an adorable little gallery called “ReInvent” in Lake Forest. It was a nice little afternoon out. And, I was in no rush because The Girl is sleeping at my mother-inlaw’s tonight and Hubs is currently at a local beer fest. Tonight, we’ll order Chinese and watch the Hawks.

Anyway, I realize that this isn’t a very cancery post, but I just wanted to point out that normal stuff happensΒ around here too. π Oh, but, I’ve decided unless weather or wardrobe necessitizes otherwise, I’m just going to rock the baldness. Seriously – it’s just too hot (well, maybe not today) for even a bandana, let alone a wig. And, frankly, I think I look damn good.
