I’m still processing photos from our spring break trip to NOLA. I’m maybe a third of the way through 928 images. In the meantime, I’d like to share with you this image of my breast:
Why have I put a photo of my breast on the interet? To remind you to get yours checked out. Especially if you’re of a certain age (ahem) or have a family history of breast cancer, get an annual mammogram. Don’t tell me it hurts too much. It only takes seconds per boob, so don’t tell me it’s too painful – you can put up with a few seconds of discomfort. If it is that bad for you, ask for a mammo-pad (a foam pad that cushions the base of the smashogram platform). Take a couple Advil or Tylenol before you go. And don’t tell me you’d rather not know. Um, really? Because dying of cancer is really not fun. And if you happen to have the shitty luck of getting cancer, you really do want to catch it early, have treatment, and get on with your life. So, girls, take care of your girls. Look at them in the mirror, feel yourself up monthly, get your funbags smashed and captured on film (preferably in a medical setting). No excuses.
Ok, PSA over. Next up – NOLA stories and pics.
